Blood Gas Analyser

Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) is very essential for monitoring of vital parameters when the baby is on ventilator. In Kottayam district, this unique facility is available only at Bharath Hospital.

The department is well equipped with Infusions Pumps, Servo controlled Incubators and Warmers to support the needs of premature and sick neonates. It also has facilities for providing Surfractant Therapy, Umbilical and Radial Arterial Lines, Epicutaneo Caval Catheterization.

Each baby in the unit has got a nurse to baby ratio of 1: 1. The department also provides Transport Incubator for Neonatesto transfer the sick babies to the NICU.
